Two London men sentenced after drugs raid in north Suffolk
The pair were arrested in Eye in January
Two London men have been sentenced for drugs offences - after being arrested in Suffolk.
Rhys Shekleton, 30, from Tapster Street in Barnet, London, and Glyn Shekleton, 24, of Jewel Road in Walthamstow, London, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court last week (June 10).
The pair were charged after a raid on a home in Cranley Green in Eye back in January, during which drugs, cash and mobile phones were seized.
They were convicted of possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine, as well as being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis and ketamine between 2016 and 2021.
Glyn Shekleton was also charged with obstructing police and possession of cocaine and cannabis.
Rhys Shekleton was sentenced to a 43 month custodial sentence. Glyn Shekleton was handed a 38 month prison term.
PC Steve Brown from Suffolk Constabulary said: “It is very pleasing to see that two people who have been involved in bringing such misery to our streets will now be locked up for a considerable time.
“The damage caused by drugs is no secret and often disproportionately harms Suffolk’s most vulnerable residents.
“Suffolk Constabulary remains committed to tackling those involved in drug supply.”
