A man and a woman have been jailed for two and a half years each following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Ipswich.

Thirty-five-year-old Joanna Kozera and forty-five-year-old Nicholas Adams, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court.

The pair had pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis and possession with intent to supply cannabis at an earlier hearing.

Detective Sergeant Vincent Grimsey of the Serious Crime Disruption Team said:

“This was a long and complex investigation which finally ended the criminal activity of a couple who had made substantial and illegal profit from their cannabis supply operation which they had run on a well-organised level for some time.

“The impact that illegal drugs can have on communities should not be underestimated, and Suffolk police is committed to doing all we can to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.

“I hope the sentences passed allow Adams and Kozera to transition away from destructive and criminal enterprises.”
