Two men charged with murder after Bury stabbing

A man was stabbed to death in Bury St Edmunds earlier this year.

Two men have been charged with murder by detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Bury St Edmunds earlier this year.

Police were called at about 3.55am on Sunday 20th June to reports of an incident in Winsford Road on the Moreton Hall estate.

When they arrived officers found a man who'd been stabbed - he was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for treatment, but he died from his injuries.

A Home Office post-mortem concluded that 47 year-old Neil Charles from the town died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Two men were initially arrested on the day of the stabbing, and then later rearrested on Monday 11th October, have now both been charged with murder.

David King, who's 55, and 18 year-old Edward King, both from Radnor Close, are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday 13th October.
