Two people have been charged in connection with a stabbing in Lowestoft last month.

Police were called to an area near the De Niro's takeaway on Oulton Road on November 28 to reports a man had been injured in the chest.

A man and a woman are alleged to approached a grey Mercedes in the street, kicking it.

The victim, a man in his 30s, got out of the car and was then stabbed. He has since been discharged from hospital.

31 year old Matthew Knights, from the Lowestoft area, and 23 year old Sophie Houghton of Normandy Road were both charged with actual bodily harm and affray.

Both were remanded and were due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today (December 15).
