Two 17 year olds charged after sexual assault in Ipswich

The pair are accused of several offences - after a woman was attacked near Stoke Bridge

Two 17 year olds have been charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in Ipswich last week, as well as another attack earlier this week.

A woman in her 30s reported being raped by two men close to the skatepark at Stoke Bridge between 12am and 1:30am last Friday (September 29)

Several other sexual assaults happened in the early hours of Monday (October 2).

A second woman in her 30s reported being assaulted at a town centre bar at around 1:30am, with further assaults later that morning on Luther Road and Maidenhall Approach.

Police were called at around 3:30am, with two arrests later being made.

A 17 year old boy has been charged with one count of rape, in connection with the first incident, and four counts of sexual assault.

A secibd 17 year old also faces a charge of rape, as well as two of sexual assault said to have happened on October 2.

Both have been remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance.
