Trees pulled down and burned in Shawlands Woods

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of criminal damage and arson that took place in Great Cornard.

A number of trees in Shawlands Woods have been cut down. The trees have then been used to form tee-pee style structures and they have then been set alight with a nature reserve sign also pulled down and damaged.

The damage has been occurring over the past couple of weeks with the most significant of the damage happening overnight on Sunday 16 May to Monday 17 May.

Anyone who knows who is responsible or saw any suspicious activity in the area should contact police, quoting crime reference 37/25691/21
