Three teenagers have been arrested after a stabbing in Ipswich earlier this week.

Police were called by the ambulance service just after 9:50pm on Wednesday (July 20) to reports a teenager had been attacked by a group of young men carrying knives on Princes Street.

The victim was on foot and was reportedly chased from Silent Street, through Cromwell Square and Franciscan Way before he was stabbed in the legs and arms.

The 17 year old was treated in hospital but wasn't seriously injured.

Two 16 year olds boys have been questioned in connection with the attack, along with a 17 year old.

All three have been released on bail until next month.

Police have stepped up their prescence in the town centre in the aftermath of the attack and there are going to be additional patrols over the weekend.
