Three arrested following stabbing in Newmarket
A man, aged in his 20s, was approached by a group of four males before being attacked.
Three people have been arrested following a serious assault in which a man was stabbed in Newmarket.
Police were called at 5.53pm, Wednesday 10 April, to reports of an incident within the car park at The Rookery, Guineas, in the town.
A man, aged in his 20s, was approached by a group of four males before being attacked.
The victim sustained serious stab wound injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He remains in hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Following the incident three people have been arrested.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested in Haverhill on Wednesday 10 April on suspicion of assisting offenders. She was taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently bailed to return to police on 2 July.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Thursday 11 April on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he currently remains.
A 14-year-old boy was also arrested on 11 April on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was subsequently bailed to return to police on 2 July.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information. Equally officers would like to speak to anyone who has CCTV or a doorbell camera or who may have been driving on the area at the time and has relevant dash-camera footage.
