A third suspect, a teenage female has been released from police custody following the suspicious death of a baby in Ipswich.

Two men were also arrested following initial enquiries on Saturday afternoon but released on bail until Tuesday 6 February pending further enquiries.

It's in relation to police being called to a property in Norwich road just after 12.35pm on Saturday 9 December where the body of a newborn baby had been discovered outside the premises.

Paramedics also attended, but the baby was sadly declared deceased a short time later.

A Home Office post-mortem has been taking place this afternoon, Tuesday 12 December, the results of which are not yet known.

Detectives are continuing to treat this as an isolated incident and a small police scene remains in place within the property on Norwich Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police online or by calling 101.
