Police appeal after theft from baby remembrance tree in Ipswich

Police are appealing for witnesses after three brass leaves were stolen from a remembrance tree in Holywells Park in Ipswich.

Each leaf on the tree sculpture, commissioned by Ipswich Hospital Baby Bereavement Group, represents a child who has died.

Police say the thefts took place sometime between July and the 5th September in the Magic Garden area of Holywells Park.

It is also thought that a CCTV camera system covering the area was also stolen during the same time period.

Officers say the families of those involved have been informed.
