A man has received a suspended jail sentence for drug offences in Sudbury.

Bailey Clark, aged 19 and of Beatty Road in Sudbury was sentenced at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday 11 August for possession with intent to supply cannabis and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

He'd previously pleaded guilty, and as a result, received a 26 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.

It comes after police raided a property on Beatty Road in August last year, and found a large quantity of herbal cannabis with a street value of up to £2100.

The drugs were seized and Clark was arrested.

Sgt Olly Williams who led the investigation said: “This is a positive result of convicting a drug dealer who was supplying drugs in Sudbury. Drugs will not only have a detrimental effect on those that supply and use them but the wider communities.

"Our local communities have an important role to play, helping us target this criminality with intelligence and reporting suspicious activity.”
