Teen found with knife wounds in Newmarket

Three people have been arrested by police in connection with an incident that took place on Mill Hill, Newmarket in the early hours of Friday (4 June).

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service just before 3:05am to reports that a man had been stabbed. The 19-year-old had two knife wounds to his back and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers recovered a knife at the scene.

On Sunday (6 June), police arrested a 17-year-old teenage boy from Bury St Edmunds, on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed to return to police on 1 July.

Yesterday (7 June) police arrested two further people - a 20 -year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from Bury St Edmunds - on suspicion of assault. The males are at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
