Suffolk police say a puppy that may have been stolen has been reunited with it's owner.

The 15-week-old brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier went missing almost on Thursday October 21, off fields near Acton Lane in Sudbury.

Searches and a number of enquiries were carried out but the puppy was found by a member of the public a week later tied to a bush.

They contacted Dog Lost and the puppy, named Tess, has since been reunited with her owner.

"Police can confirm that a puppy, which may have been stolen, has since been reunited with its owner.

"The 15-week-old brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier went missing at approximately 2pm on Thursday 21 October, off fields near Acton Lane.

"Searches and a number of enquiries were carried out but the puppy was found tied to a bush by a member of the public on Thursday 28 October in the same area.

"The member of the public contacted Dog Lost and the puppy, named Tess, has since been reunited with her owner.

"It is not known how the puppy came to be in that area and she did not appear to be injured.

"If anyone has any information regarding the incident or witnessed any suspicious behaviour, they should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime number 37/59665/21."
