As another generation takes to the thrown, the younger generation in Suffolk have been beaming with excitement for the Coronation.

With King Charles becoming the first new monarch in 70 years, the celebrations are hugely anticipated.

We visited the children at Gorseland Primary School to find out what they were looking forward to most this weekend.

Ben (10 years old) Told us he is most looking forward to "all the food."

He also believes the Garden Party at school on Friday will be quite a fancy affair.

The Garden party will have music and food as well as the student choir singing some songs. Caitlyn who is 10 years old will be taking part in the choir. She told us she is very excited to sing in front of people and what songs they'll be singing.

"There's Come Alive from The Greatest Showman, there's Spaceman (by Sam Ryder) Will I Grow Up and one more that I cannot remember." Spaceman is her favourite song out of this selection.

She also told us what she is excited to see this weekend. "I think I am going to look forward to seeing what King Charles looks like in the crown and his robe and she'll (Camillia) will look very pretty.

"I am excited to see if I can watch it on TV and see loads of people."

6 year old Amelia is "looking forward to seeing King Charles and I am looking forward to eating all the different foods. I am excited to watch the coronation."

Mills (8 years old) "I am looking forward to seeing all the people outside the castle and just looking at the castle with the King inside it."

Tom (8 years old) "I am most looking forward to seeing all the royal family." (Prince William is his favourite)

Archie (6 years old) "I most looking forward to the party at school...: I am looking forward to the coronation food."

We asked them if they were the King or Queen, what would be the first thing they did.

Ben: "I would donate some money to charity - East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) because it will help them fund to better help children."

Caitlyn: "I would donate to a few charities, St Elizabeth Hospice, Cancer Research, the East Anglians Children Hospital and I would donate to FIND.

"I would host this huge dinner party where I would help all my staff make this huge feast and they'd all be invited and there'd be loads of tea- definitely- all made by me and we would have this long dinner party and anyone could be invited."

When asked if she was good at making tea, Caitlyn said "Yes, I make my Mum tea every morning"

Amelia: "I will make some lunch for the King and I would make them tea... I would make sausages and mash. I would make some cakes to eat for me."

Mills: "I would get people to clean the world outside, so then no one gets poorly."

Tom: "I would help the natural environment, I would hire some people to go on a search to try to pick up all the rubbish."

Archie: "Everyone gets a week off school... I would tell people to say children are teachers and grown-ups are learners, for a year!"
