A police car responding to an emergency has been involved in a crash with another vehicle in Suffolk.

Just after 5pm last night (Friday 30 December), a white Hyundai on Main Road was in a collision with a marked police car - a white Vauxhall Astra.

Police and ambulance services both attended the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, as well as the police officer driving the Astra, were taken to Ipswich Hospital.

The officer has since been discharged and those in the other car are not thought to have life changing or threatening injuries.

Anyone who might have seen the accident is being urged to contact the police.
