Suffolk man charged with string of serious sexual assaults in 1990s

A man has been charged with a string of sexual offences, alleged to have taken place in the 1990s, against four teenage men and boys.

Alan Michael Grimson, 65, of Hollesley, Suffolk, was charged by post on Friday, Hampshire Police said.

He will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on February 17 accused of an indecent assault on a 19-year-old man in Tyne and Wear in 1994, and 12 other offences alleged to have taken place in Portsmouth in 1999.

These are: five indecent assaults of a 17-year-old boy, the rape of an 18-year-old man, four indecent assaults of a 14-year-old boy, the indecent assault of a 19-year-old man, and one count of taking indecent images of a child.
