People in Suffolk who want to throw street parties to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee won't have to pay to close roads.
The County Council's said it will waive fees for applications and is encouraging residents to get involved in events for the 'Big Jubilee Lunch'.
Her Majesty will celebrate 70 years on the throne as part of an extended weekend running from the 2nd to 5th June, with events taking place all over the country.
A specialised website has been set up for those looking to organise street parties as a group of residents, or as a local authority, for an event in a larger space such as a park.
As part of the main criteria for a road to be closed, the road must be residential with no through traffic, and only resident traffic will be affected.
All applications have to be in by the Sunday 27th March for organisers to be able to get traffic management assistance.
