An independent charity in East Suffolk that helps provide free services to improve life for people living with a progressive or life limiting illness has raised over £100,000 during the festive period.
St Elizabeth Hospice launched their Be A Star campaign last month to help fund resources to bring patients together with their families for Christmas.
Pauline Donkin is their head of Individual Giving and Supporter Care: “Christmas is such a special time for all families and the funds raised by Be Star have made a huge difference and helped patients and families under our care be together this Christmas, while still receiving the support they needed, from our team, during very difficult times in their lives.”
Indeed, the campaign managed to surpass the £77,000 raised in 2020.
"A massive thank you to all our supporters and local businesses who got behind the Be a Star appeal and helped raise such a phenomenal total for the hospice", Ms Donkin adds.
