Police look for witnesses following serious crash in Sudbury

​Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in Sudbury.

It happened at just before 3.30pm on Wednesday 20 March, on the A131 Melford Road between the junctions with Abbey Road and Woodhall Road.

Ambulance and fire crews were also in attendance at the collision, which involved a white Hyundai I40 and a blue Kia Venga.

The drivers of the vehicles – a man and a woman – were both injured.

The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via air ambulance with potentially life-changing injures, but has since been discharged.

The woman was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by land ambulance, where she currently remains for treatment, but her injuries not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers are now urging any witnesses, or those with dashcam footage, to come forward.
