Snow and ice warnings for Suffolk this weekend

The Met Office is warning of snow and ice this weekend and into next week.

A number of weather warning's have been issued for the East from Saturday all the way through until Wednesday.

A yellow warning for snow covering the whole of Suffolk is in force from 11pm on Saturday until 6am on Monday 8th February.

An amber warning for snow has also been issued for large parts of Suffolk, from 4am on Sunday 7th February until 12pm on Monday 8th February.

The Met Office says heavy snow at times will bring some disruption to those out making essential journeys.

It's also warned of the potential for some power cuts and interruptions to mobile phone signal due to the weather.

For those under the amber weather warning, the Met Office says to expect long delays with the potential for blocked roads in places.

As we head into next week, another yellow warning for snow is in force across Suffolk from Monday 8th February through until midnight on Wednesday 10th February.
