Serious sexual assault in Newmarket
Police are investigating
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious sexual assault that took place in Newmarket.
It happened at some point between Wednesday (24 March) at 10.45pm and Thursday (25 March) at 1am in the area of a skate park, off George Lambton Avenue in the town.
It is thought the victim, who's in his late 30s, may have been unconscious for a period of time after the attack, before reporting it the police. However, he didn't need hospital treatment.
He's being supported by specialist trained officers as detectives have been undertaking enquiries.
Enquiries are on-going and anyone who saw what happened or any suspicious activity, or knows who was responsible should contact police, quoting crime reference 37/14565/21.
