There's been delays for commuters in Essex and neighbouring counties in East Anglia this morning, after a person's sadly been hit by a train between Chelmsford and Colchester.

All lines have now re-opened after being blocked earlier this morning, when Greater Anglia reporting services may be delayed, cancelled or revised.

Disruption's expected to continue with some delays still occurring, whilst the company work to get services back on time, with emergency services and Network Rail attending the scene this morning, working to help those affected.

The routes which have been affected are:

  • Liverpool Street - Norwich
  • Liverpool Street - Clacton on Sea
  • Liverpool Street - Colchester Town
  • Liverpool Street/Witham - Braintree
