It opens today
Primark opens its doors in Bury St Edmunds today.
Located in the arc Shopping Centre, the shop takes over Debenhams' old space, which has been empty since 2021.
Spanning 33,400 sq ft across two floors of retail space, the new store's created over 100 new jobs in the local community.
As part of a new trial, it will feature self-checkouts, which are designed to provide more customers with a quick and easy payment option.
Primark Bury St Edmunds store manager, Timothy Norton, added: “Opening day has finally arrived and I’m so excited to have led the team opening Primark Bury St Edmunds.
"I’ve seen first-hand all the hard work that’s gone into getting the store ready for the big day, and it’s been fantastic to see such a positive reception and feel the love from the community.
"I joined the Primark business just a few months ago to become store manager and myself and the team can’t wait to finally show customers what we’ve got to offer.”
