Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Lowestoft earlier this month.

The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Saturday 6 January in Rotterdam Road, just prior to the roundabout junction with Normanston Drive and St Peter’s Street.

The victim – a man aged in his 40s – was aware of a group of six to seven teenagers in the street, when two of them approached him from behind and assaulted him, causing injuries to his face, thumb and shin.

The suspects were wearing all black/dark-coloured tracksuits and were believed to be aged between 13 and 16 years-old.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to this incident – in particular the drivers of a number of cars that were seen to drive by at the time it occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lowestoft Response Investigation Team, quoting reference: 1120/24.
