Police hunt van driver after assault in Stowmarket

The victim was attacked on Thursday on the A1120 junction

Police are searching for the driver of a van after an assault in Stowmarket.

It happened as the victim was driving along the A14 Westbound, before pulling off at the A1120 junction at Stowmarket between 7pm and 7:30pm last Thursday (October 12).

An unknown man, who was driving a van, opened the victim's door before slapping him, throwing his keys and other belongings onto the road and swearing at him.

He then drove off in his own vehicle, described as a modified silver VW Caddy with black writing on the side.

The suspect is described as white, around 35, bald-headed and of skinny build. He was wearing a white or grey T-shirt.

Witnesses are being urged to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
