Police hunt inmate on-the-run from HMP Hollesley Bay
24 year old Morgan Smyth went missing from the Category D prison earlier today
Police are hunting for a man who's gone on the run from HMP Hollesley Bay on the Suffolk coast.
24 year old Morgan Smyth was reported as missing at 12:45pm today, having last been seen at around 10am.
He is described as of a slim build, six foot three inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
He has a goatee beard and may be wearing a light blue coat.
Smyth is currently serving a three year sentence for possession of a knife, possession of an offensive weapon and threatening a person with a blade.
Officers are urging anyone who sees him to get in touch.
