Police appeal for help to find absconded prisoner
Suffolk Police are appealing for public assistance in locating 41-year-old Jamie Sherfield, who has absconded from Hollesley Bay prison.
Police in Suffolk are appealing for help to trace a prisoner who has absconded from Hollesley Bay.
Sherfield was reported missing today, Friday 7 November 2025, after failing to attend a scheduled roll call. He is currently serving a four-year sentence for robbery and possession of a knife, along with an eight-year recall.
He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of medium build, with grey hair, a full beard, and blue eyes. He has a distinctive tattoo of ‘JIMBOY’ on his hand.
He was last seen wearing a blue Hugo Boss jumper, a Ralph Lauren purple polo shirt, blue jeans, black Nike trainers and a black SEKONDA sports watch.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him and should call police on 999 immediately if they see him.
