Police appeal after serious sexual assault

Suffolk Constabulary have launched an appeal for witnesses after receiving a report of a serious sexual assault in Sudbury.

The force say the 'incident occurred at approximately 3.45am this morning, Saturday 28 August, in an alleyway off Cornard Road, almost opposite the junction with Lucas Road.'

The investigation is in its early stages and specialist trained officers are working with the victim.

Any witnesses who were in the vicinity of that part of Cornard Road between 3.30am and 4am, or any motorists that passed through and have a dashcam fitted in their vehicle.
