Police appeal after Haverhill business burgled and owner assaulted

Police have launched an appeal to trace a man who broke into a Haverhill business and assaulted its owner on Monday (November 6)

It happened at around 0:25am at Practical Car & Van Rental in Sturmer Road.

The unknown man broke in, loading a stolen white Ford Transit with a large amount of fireworks.

He then came across the owner, attacking him and leaving him needing hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as wearing a face mask and hood, and as being between 5ft 7in and 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.

Anyone who had dashcam footage taken in Sturmer Road or the surrouding streets between midnight and 1:10am on Monday is being urged to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
