Plans unveiled for renovations and new extension at Stowmarket Library
The library is set for a revamp to help it accomodate more people
Suffolk County Council has received planning proposals for the extension of Stowmarket Library.
With this proposal, the library will be able to accommodate an increased influx of people while maintaining appropriate functioning.
The application, which was validated today, includes an 84-square-metre extension of the existing premises and the internal refurbishment of its facilities.
The refurbishment will take place on the building’s eastern wing and will contain new meeting rooms, offices, toilets, staff areas, and a second entrance.
The new design will also welcome a range of council staff who will work from the premises.
