Palm oil has been found washed up on Felixstowe beach.

Coastguards are urging dog owners to keep an eye open, as the substance, which is usually white and waxy in appearance, can be lethal if eaten.

The advice is to keep pets off the beach and on a lead to avoid it being eaten.

If you see palm oil, you're being asked to call 999 and ask for the coastguard, who can arrange for it to be disposed of quickly and safely.
