Emergency services dealing with overturned lorry on A14 near Ipswich

Police, fire and ambulance crews are on the scene of a serious crash on the A14 near Ipswich.

A lorry has overturned between junctions 59 and 58, which has closed the westbound carriageway.

Highways say Suffolk Fire, Suffolk Police and the East of England Ambulance Service are at the scene.

National Highways have also been deployed to help out.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area, and expect disruption to their journeys.

Diversion route:

Exit the A14 at J59 Trimley and take the first exit to Trimley.

Continue to the roundabout and take the second exit onto High Road.

Continue on High Road to the junction with the Link Road and turn left for Levington.

At the junction with Felixstowe Road turn left and continue to the A1156.

Turn right onto the A1156 and re-join the A14 at J58 Levington.
