Over a third of adults in Suffolk and North East Essex had first Covid jab

The rate is higher than the national average.

Over a third of adults in the Suffolk and North East Essex areas have had their first coronavirus vaccination, that's a total of 284, 192 jabs.

It works out at 34% of adults in the area, which is higher than the national average of 28%

The figures published yesterday (18th February) cover the period from the 8th to the 14th February.

When broken down by individual CCG it looks like this:

  • Ipswich and East Suffolk - 124, 515
  • West Suffolk - 67, 135
  • North East Essex - 92, 542

As of 4pm on Thursday 18th February, 16.4 million people in the UK had received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
