A new campaign has started to see more people join the care sector in Norfolk and Suffolk
If you're looking for a new career this year, Norfolk County Council could be on hand to help.
As many people have been left out of work during the pandemic, bosses are urging people to consider a career in social care.
The council is running a campaign to see more people joining the care sector with paid-for qualifications on offer.
There are roles across Norfolk and Suffolk in all areas of the industry - from live-in carers and residential setting workers to managers.
Ed Fraser is project manager in developing skills in the health and social care sector for the counties.
He said:
"Social care is a fantastic place to work, and I think one thing that COVID has done is really shine a light on all the great work that colleagues looking after our most vulnerable citizens day in, day out.
"I think it's such an important time to be getting into social care right now.
"Apart from the fact that the sector is not going anywhere - a lot of sectors have been hit by COVID - but we know social care is here to stay. So it's a really vibrant time to be joining.
"I think it's a wonderful sector to work in, in the sense that everyone pulls in the same direction and being able to work with lots of different colleagues who all bring something different to the table."
