No cases of the Indian variant of coronavirus have been found in areas across Suffolk

Figures have been released to show how the new variant is spreading across the country.

Babergh, East and Mid Suffolk have managed to stay clear from the new Indian variant of coronavirus.

That's according to data for the two weeks to the 8th of May.

In Ipswich, just under 6 percent of all covid cases are now know to be the new variant

West Suffolk has also detected just under 2 percent in the two weeks to the 8th May.

The data, which is accessible here shows different strains on the virus in positive test results.
