Man in hospital with serious injuries after Newmarket stabbing

Police are currently looking for the suspects

A man's in hospital with serious injuries, after a stabbing in Newmarket.

Police were called at 5.53pm yesterday, Wednesday 10 April, to reports of an incident within the car park at The Rookery.

They tell us a man, in his 20s, was approached by a group of four men before being attacked.

The victim sustained serious stab wound injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police believe this is a contained incident involving a group of people who know each other.

They're currently looking to find and arrest the suspects.

They've arrested a woman in Haverhill on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Officers are also looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV, a doorbell camera or dash-camera footage.
