Newmarket man charged with supplying Class A & B drugs

It's after he was found with cash and a mobile which was being used to advertise drugs for sale

A man from Newmarket has pleaded guilty to a number of drug offences.

Karl Bristley, 19, from Collings Place, was arrested on 9th May after a drugs warrant was executed at his home.

Officers discovered a mobile phone that was used to run a drug dealing line to send bulk messages to drug users.

£1,110 in cash was also seized.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he was subsequently charged with eight offences:

  • Being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis) between 17/03/2023 and 09/05/2023
  • Being concerned in the supply of cocaine between 17/03/2023 and 09/05/2023
  • The supply of a Class A controlled drug of (MDMA)
  • Acquire / use / possession of criminal property
  • Possession with intent to supply a Class A controlled (cocaine)
  • Possession with intent to supply a Class B controlled drug (cannabis)
  • Being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis) Between 05/08/2022 and 10/09/2022
  • Being concerned in supply of cocaine between 05/08/2022 and 10/09/2022

Bristley appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 May, where he pleaded guilty to all charges.

He was subsequently remanded by the court to be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court. The date for the sentencing has yet to be confirmed.
