A Newmarket man has been jailed for three years after he admitted to being involved in selling cocaine and cannabis in the town.

25 year old Christopher Cook, of Icewell Hill, admitted to supplying and being in possession of Class A and B drugs at Ipswich Crown Court on February 21.

When Cook was arrested on January 23 he was seen to drop packages out of an upstairs windows which were later found to contain drugs.

A mobile phone was also seized which was used to send out bulk messages to customers.

Police Staff Investigator Simon Bendall, of Suffolk Constabulary, said: “It is very pleasing to successfully convict Christopher Cook, someone we know actively sold drugs to users in the area.

“We all know the harm and despair drugs cause, so it is always a good result when we are able to put someone behind bars who actively chooses to make financial profit from other people’s misery.”
