Three people arrested after two men were attacked in an alleyway in Newmarket have been bailed.

Police say they were called by the ambulance service at around 11.30pm on Saturday 20th November to reports two men had been injured.

The victims, both men in their 20s, were attacked in an alleyway in New Cut and sustained injuries to their face and head.

They were both taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Two men, a 62 year-old and an 18 year-old, and a woman aged 42, were taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre.

They have now been bailed to answer on Sunday 19th December.

It's thought to have been an isolated incident.
