New tenant sought for iconic Christchurch Park cafe and kiosk
The kiosk has been a familiar sight for park-goers for years
A new tenant is being sought for an iconic kiosk and cafe in Christchurch Park.
The lease has come up for the building, which is connected to the Grade I listed Christchurch Mansion.
The property, which has been a familiar site for park-goers for years, also includes an outdoor seating area, kitchen and basement.
The lease also includes a separate kiosk location.
Councillor Bryony Rudkin, Ipswich Borough Council Deputy Leader, says:
“The current lease period for the café/tearoom and kiosk in Christchurch Park has expired. We are now looking to secure a new lease for the premises and welcome applications.
"With over 100,000 visitors to Christchurch Park every year, we’re looking for a new tenant who can provide an excellent food and drink offering in our award-winning park for visitors.
"As the only premises permitted to regularly serve food and drinks in the park, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish a successful catering business in the local area, in a beautiful public favourite visitor location in Ipswich.”
Estate agent Clarke and Simpson has been tasked with finding a new tenant.
