New free music festival announced for Ipswich

Blues, jazz, world and Caribbean music will all feature

A free music festival featuring blues, jazz, world and Caribbean music will be held in Christchurch Park in Ipswich this summer.

Five stages will host performances on Saturday 2nd July 2022 as part of Ipswich Music Weekend, with other events also taking place in the town over the weekend.

Its being funded jointly by the Borough Council and Arts Council England.

Cllr Sarah Barber, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Town Centre, says: “I am pleased that we at the Council are involved in this great event. It is wonderful that the Ipswich Music Weekend has returned and with such a broad range of music as this to see.

"I know that this is something that many in the town will enjoy and it is a great opportunity to listen to new music - here’s to good weather.”
