Police are investigating after a driver reported a large flint hitting his car while he was driving through Worlington on Monday morning.

The gold BMW X2 was on the B1102 between 10.25am and 10.30am on the 16th August when a large flint smashed through the back window and embedded in the headrest.

The driver told officers he thought the offender may have been hidden behind the hedges and used a catapult to shoot the flint at the car.

Anyone who saw what happened or has any information is being asked to contact police.
