A man's been arrested after allegedly exposing himself and using racially abusive language at McDonald's in Ipswich.

It happened in the Tavern Street restaurant between 7.30pm and 7.40pm on Friday 25 August.

A man is reported to have entered the McDonald’s and gone over to the self-service machines.

At the same time a group of males entered the alleyway down the side of the restaurant and knocked on the window next to where the suspect was standing.

The suspect is reported to have then begun shouting at the group using racially abusive language, before exposing himself out of the window in their direction.

He was escorted out of the premises and police were called.

A 20-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre (PIC) for questioning.

He has been released on bail until 25 September pending further enquiries.

Officers are urging any witnesses to come forward.

They're particularly keen to trace a man who is believed to have filmed the incident on his mobile phone.
