Teen charged in connection with Ipswich stabbing

An 18-year-old man remains in hospital in a "stable" condition according to police

Police have charged a teenager in connection with a stabbing in Ipswich this week.

Officers were called at just before 4.50pm Monday afternoon (25 January), to reports that a man had been attacked in Downside Close.

The victim, aged 18, was subsequently taken by car to hospital where he is receiving treatment to his injuries. His condition is described as stable.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy that evening, who was later charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court today (27 January).
