Man in serious condition after stabbing in Ipswich

A man has been arrested by police following a stabbing in Ipswich this morning.
Emergency services were called at 8:45am today to reports of an incident at a property on Station Street.
The victim, a man is his 40s, sustained stab injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He is described as being in a stable but serious condition at this time.
Police arrested a 55-year-old man at the scene in connection with the incident and he has been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre to be questioned by officers.

Police believe that the parties are known to each other and are not seeking anybody else in connection with the assault at this time. A scene is currently in place as an investigation into the full circumstances of the incident continues.
