Man released on bail after Bury St Edmunds murder

A man has been released on bail after a suspected murder in Bury St Edmunds.

Police were called to an alleged stabbing at 3pm on Tuesday (26 April) at a car park in Harland Court, off Station Hill.

Officers located a man and a woman in a nearby flat, who had both suffered stab wounds.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He's since been identified as 43 year old Karl Skoulding, from Bury St Edmunds.

A 38 year old man arrested shortly after the incident has been released on bail until May 22nd.

A 17 year old boy from Ipswich who was also arrested on supsicion of murder has been released without charge.

The female victim, who's in her 40s, is in a critical condition in hospital.

Police are continuing to search for witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the Harland Court area on April 26 between 2pm and 3pm.
