A man has been jailed for over two years in connection with Class A drug dealing in Ipswich.

27 year old Nikolaos Agathos, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 28 months in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.

He admitted to possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply; being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and having possession of criminal property.

He's also been ordered to forefeit £250 in cash.

Agathos was stopped in a white Audi A3 by police on London Road on December 15 2021.

Analysis of his mobile phone found that he had been dealing cocaine in Ipswich for the previous five days, making over £3,300

Sergeant Dave Logan, of Suffolk Police, said: “This investigation is an example of the continued effort by Suffolk police to tackle drug supply in the county.

“With the support of our Forensic Services, custody teams and the Crown Prosecution Service, we were able to stop this male and seek charges within 24 hours.

“He was remanded to HMP the following day and has remained there until sentencing. This type of criminality is present throughout the UK but this case should be a strong message to those who think about doing it within Suffolk.”
