Man jailed after assaulting woman in Ipswich

He's also been sentenced for breaching a restraining order

An Ipswich man has benn jailed for 16 months after assaulting a woman in the town last October.

29 year old Sean Kavanagh, formerly of Robin Drive admitted to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on 4 October 2021 and breaching a restraining order.

He was sentenced to 16 months for the assault charged at Ipswich Crown Court and was given eight months for breaching he restraining order.

Both sentences will run at the same time.

The restraining order remains in place.
