Police make arrest after man attacked with crowbar in West Suffolk

The assault happened last month in Stanton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked with a crowbar at a bus stop in West Suffolk.

It happened at around 6:50pm on Tuesday October 25 on Wyken Road in Stanton.

A man sitting on a bicycle at a bus stop when he was approached by another man with a crowbar.

The victim's bike was also damaged.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is also under investigation for possession of a Class B drug and possession of a firearm and has been released on bail.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to contact Suffolk Police.
