Man dies after two vehicle crash near Leiston

A motorcyclist in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Theberton, near Leiston, yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the B1122 close to the junction of Potter's Street at around 2:30pm.

The collision involved a red Ducati motorcycle and a silver Ford Fiesta, with the road being closed off while investigations took place.

A man in his 50s, who was on the Ducati, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries.

He's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving whilst under influence of drink or drugs and remains in custody.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who captured dashcam footage at the scene to get in touch.
